Cold case search renewed for Germantown woman missing for a decade
Gaithersburg, MD – Ten years after a Germantown woman vanished from her home without a trace, detectives are again turning to the public in hopes of uncovering new information that could finally explain what happened.
Nancy Eillen Strohmeyer was reported missing in February after she was last heard from during an evening phone call with a family member. Investigators say she had contact with family around 7 p.m. on February 3 and was reported missing the following day when she could not be located.
Strohmeyer, who was 66 at the time, lived in the 13100 block of Millhaven Place in Germantown. Detectives noted that her bed appeared not to have been slept in and her morning medication had not been taken, leading investigators to believe she may have left her home during the evening hours…
