Businesses Broken Into Across Bethesda and Wheaton

The Montgomery County Police Department is investigating a series of commercial burglaries that occurred in the Bethesda and Wheaton areas between February 6 and February 8, 2026.

According to police, detectives from the department’s 2nd and 4th District Investigative Sections determined that unknown suspects forced entry into multiple businesses and stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing. The targeted locations include T-Mobile, Selam Beauty Studio, Grace Nails, Shibuya Eatery, Meiwah Restaurant, Craft Beer and Wine, Bethesda Crab House, and Bethesda Market. Investigators said the suspects also attempted to break into Planta restaurant in the 4900 block of Elm Street but left the area without gaining entry.

Police said surveillance footage captured images of the suspects and the vehicle involved. The suspects are described as four males wearing dark clothing and armed with a hammer and a large black axe with a yellow handle, which were used to force entry into the businesses.
