A delivery driver is being credited with helping save an elderly woman from a house fire in Harford County, Maryland.The Amazon driver was making a delivery near Creek View Court in Whiteford when she noticed a home on fire and immediately called 911. As emergency crews were on the way, the driver saw an 84-year-old woman inside attempting to escape through a side door.The driver rushed over and helped pull the woman to safety before conditions worsened.Fire officials later determined the blaze started after woodstove ashes were improperly discarded, according to the State Fire Marshal’s Office.Three adults were displaced by the fire, but no injuries were reported.Authorities say the driver’s quick actions helped prevent what could have been a far more serious outcome.
