Airports Authority shares master plan for Dulles

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is sending a new master plan for Dulles International Airport to the National Capital Planning Commission for review.

The document, coinciding with renderings of an upgraded airport, shows upgrades are necessary to the terminals, gates, airfield and more to meet the needs of the growing airport.

Final passenger figures for 2025 are still being calculated, but in 2024, a record-breaking 27.2 million travelers used the airport. In the coming decades, it’s estimated that number could hit 90 million passengers per year…
