Neighbor who called 911 described frantic moments in Fairfax Co. triple stabbing

FAIRFAX, Va. — Ariana Eddleman was awake with her husband and children when they were startled by the frantic scene outside their front door. She couldn’t have imagined that it would turn into a horrific scene described by police as a “bloodbath.”

Investigators said that at around 5 a.m. on Monday at the Margate Manor Apartments in Mantua, a father, 54-year-old Chhatra Thapa, stabbed and killed his daughter, 33-year-old Mamta Thapa, and wife, 52-year-old Binda Thapa, before turning the knife on his son-in-law, who remains hospitalized in critical condition.
