Mom Was Fatally Stabbed, Allegedly by Apparent Stranger, While Waiting at Virginia Bus Stop

Police say there is no indication Stephanie Nicole Minter knew her alleged attacker

A 41-year-old Virginia mother was fatally stabbed while waiting inside a bus shelter in Fairfax County, and a 32-year-old man has been charged in connection with her death.

Officers responded at 7:16 p.m. on Feb. 23 to Richmond Highway and Arlington Drive in Hybla Valley for a death investigation, the Fairfax County Police Department said in a press release.

At the scene, they found Stephanie Nicole Minter, of Fredericksburg, inside the bus stop shelter with multiple stab wounds to her upper body. Officers began life-saving measures before fire and rescue personnel arrived, but she was pronounced dead at the scene…
