Unfortunate news this week as Leesburg Gourmet in downtown Leesburg announces it will be closing its doors soon.
The shop specializing in fine chocolates, craft beers, select wines and other items has been a staple of the downtown for six years now.
In an honest and frank email to longtime customers, owner David Mercado wrote: “Since opening on March 6, 2020, just seven days before Covid 19 mandates took effect, it has been a struggle to keep our doors open while offering the amazing town of Leesburg one-of-a-kind wine and chocolate experiences.”…
