A Sunday ride on a rural stretch of Maryland Route 213 turned tragic when a two-motorcycle crash in Cecil County left a 17-year-old girl from Wilmington, Delaware, dead. She had been riding as a passenger on a Kawasaki that collided with a Yamaha while both bikes were heading south. She was rushed to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. The Kawasaki’s 19-year-old driver was also taken to the hospital, while the Yamaha’s operator was reported uninjured. Troopers shut down the roadway for more than an hour as they worked the scene and launched their investigation.
