The Army wants to move its Caisson Detachment from the NOVA Equestrian Center in Aldie, Virginia, to the Middleburg Training Center. The Caisson Detachment is a unit of horses and riders that provides funeral honors for military members.
The Piedmont Foxhounds Conservation Fund and the Virginia Equine Alliance issued calls to action, asking the community to write letters, sign petitions, and help find another location for the unit.
