A car crashed into a Germantown townhome late Thursday night, causing significant structural damage and prompting a response from technical rescue crews.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) units were dispatched around 11:25pm to the 13700 block of Palmetto Circle for a report of a vehicle that had struck a building with a partial collapse. According to MCFRS Captain Franco Martinez, two people were inside the home at the time of the crash but were not injured.
Emergency crews had to extricate one of the occupants from the vehicle before transporting that person to a local hospital. Public safety reporter Cordell Pugh reported that two people inside the car were injured in the crash.
