Fairfax Police drone helps arrest man for looking into window of Reston home

RESTON, Va. — A man has been arrested on three counts of peeping into an occupied dwelling in Reston. On Friday, officers with Fairfax County Police Department used its Drone as First Responder Program to get eyes on the scene in under a minute.

Around 11:15 p.m., officers responded to the 12000 block of Waterside View Drive. A woman told officers that a stranger was looking into her bedroom window from outside. Detectives launched a drone, which was on scene in 38 seconds. The detectives quickly located the suspect peeping through other windows.

Officers were directed to where the man was and took Larry Mudd, 35, into custody. Now, detectives are asking anyone who may have seen Mudd involved in other incidents to contact Reston Police at 703-478-0904 and ask to speak with a detective…
