Sterling Man Accused of Firing Rifle Near Apartments

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has charged a man with recklessly discharging an AR-style rifle in a populated area.

The incident happened on Feb. 18, when deputies say Brandon Holst, 26, of Sterling, walked out of his residence on Elkins Terrace and fired four shots with his rifle. The rounds were found in the ground in a wooded area behind the suspect’s building.

The wooded area is not owned by Holst, the complaint said. A neighborhood is located around 300 feet away, deputies wrote in a criminal complaint…
