Club Chemo: Virginia woman brings music and joy to cancer treatment

FAIRFAX, Va. — Inside Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, the music starts before the medicine. Every other week, chemotherapy room two transforms into something unexpected — a place patients and staff call “Club Chemo.”

For Saletta Coleman, it’s more than a nickname. It’s a mindset. After being diagnosed with cancer, Coleman decided she didn’t want sympathy. She wanted energy.
