LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (7News) — A Loudoun County student was honored in a surprise presentation as one of three winners in an annual statewide art contest designed to use art to show their gratitude for teachers.
Sadie Bauley, a fifth grader at Hovatter Elementary School, was recognized on Monday as the winner of the elementary school category in the Virigina Lottery Thank a Teacher Art Contest. Her art will be featured on thousands of thank you notes to teachers across the state during National Teacher Appreciation Week from May 4-8.
Along with her art bring featured on the thank you cards, Bauley was awarded a $200 gift card, and the school art department received a $2,000 credit from The Supply Room for its art department…
