ASHBURN, Va. (DC News Now) โ Homeowners in a Northern Virginia neighborhood are weighing a rare, high-stakes offer: more than $4 million per home, but only if every neighbor agrees to sell.
The proposal targets 143 homes in The Regency, a subdivision in Ashburn, at the center of Loudoun Countyโs data center corridor. Documents obtained by DC News Now show the potential deal could total more than half a billion dollars.
Every homeowner must agree to sell and ratify a contract with the buyer for the deal to move forward. Residents would receive six-figure deposits, according to the proposal, which would be non-refundable upon zoning approval. They would also be permitted to stay in their homes for 11 months, tax-free, following 30 days of the close of a sale.
