Grand Jury to Hear Case in 2025 Cigarette Robbery

A Loudoun grand jury is set to hear the case against one of three men charged in an armed robbery last year at a Lucketts-area gas station after the man waived his right to a preliminary hearing yesterday.

Christopher Shirley is charged with two counts of robbery while using a firearm, a class three felony that could result in 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $100,000.

The charges stem from a March 19, 2025, incident when Shirley and James Allen Shore allegedly entered the Sunoco along James Monroe Highway wearing masks and gloves. Shore allegedly brandished a firearm at the cashiers and the two left with $20,000 worth of cigarettes, according to court filings. They left in a car allegedly being driven by Robert Fields…
