Middleburg’s Cana Vineyards & Winery Is Officially for Sale

The $9M asking price includes the vineyards, winery, café, and all equipment and inventory.

A popular Northern Virginia winery is officially on the market. Owners Lisa and Bryce Petty are selling Cana Vineyards & Winery — located at 38600 Little River Tpk. in Middleburg — with a listed price of $9 million.

Cana’s Wine Production

Cana Vineyards & Winery sits on approximately 43 acres, with 8 acres dedicated to wine production. It currently grows petit verdot, cabernet franc, merlot, petit manseng, and Norton grapes. It produces around 3,000 cases of wine per year.

Cana made headlines in 2022 when its 2019 Unité Reserve was named the 2022 Virginia Governor’s Cup winner, making Melanie Natoli the first female winemaker to win the prestigious award. That same year, the vineyard’s 2019 Le Mariage won a gold medal and a place in the Governor’s Case. Since then, Cana has won multiple gold and silver medals in the Virginia’s Governor’s Cup.

They’re seven years in, and they have two kids that are college age, so they’re staring at the empty nest side of things. The winery is in a beautiful place to kind of hand it off to someone that’s excited about the opportunity.”…
