A motorcyclist has died following a crash on I-370 in Gaithersburg Saturday afternoon, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.
Assistant Chief David Pazos said crews were dispatched at approximately 2:52pm to I-370 between I-270 and Shady Grove Metro Access Road for a reported motorcycle collision. Upon arrival, first responders located an adult male who had been thrown from his motorcycle and was in traumatic cardiac arrest.
Despite aggressive life-saving efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. By 3:33pm, officials said the incident had been turned over to Maryland State Police, who are now leading the investigation.
