Man in custody after traffic incident led to shooting in Montgomery County: Police

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A person is in custody after a traffic incident escalated to a shooting in Montgomery County on Tuesday morning, according to police.

Details are limited; however, officers were dispatched to the area of Georgia Avenue and Norbeck Road for a shooting. There, Montgomery County police learned that after a “traffic-related altercation,” a man had fired a gun from his vehicle at another vehicle.

After the shooting, the man drove away. He was later located on Softwood Terrace, where he was taken into custody.
