Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC) officials say Virginia’s health insurance market is facing rising premiums, increased federal regulations, “record disenrollments,” and “pending budget provisions” that would affect premiums.
“We do recognize the impacts that rising premium costs have on Virginians across the Commonwealth,” said Keven Patchett, director of Health Benefit Exchange, a division of the SCC, which operates Virginia’s Insurance Marketplace.
