A firefighter-EMT died after suffering a medical emergency while on duty, leaving the emergency services community across in counties in both Maryland and Pennsylvania in mourning.
Kevin Brehm, 60, was working as an EMT with Dover Area Ambulance when he suffered a medical event at the station on Friday, according to the agency.
“Brehm’s co-workers immediately realized the urgency of his condition and provided him with medical care, which included placing him in an ambulance,” the agency said. “Paramedics from UPMC LifeTeam also participated in caring for Brehm and transporting him to York Hospital.”…
