Tonight will be another cool one across the region, but not as cold as last night, under mostly clear skies. Overnight lows are forecast to range from the mid-30s in the mountains to the middle and upper 40s by the Bay.
Monday is expected to be breezy and mostly sunny.
Tuesday will again be dry, and breezy in the DMV, but this time a disturbance in the atmosphere could bring a few residual showers to the area.
By midweek, a strong front will bring significantly more widespread precipitation, along with chances for thunderstorms to impact the region as it moves through the area between Wednesday and Thursday. Current forecasts have rain estimates of between 0.50-1.50 inches of rain in the area by Thursday, which would be extremely beneficial given the widespread drought concerns that have impacted the region for some time.
Heading into next weekend, there will be some rays of sunshine, but it will also be cooler and continued breezy at times. Due to the severe drought that the DMV is currently in, bringing much-needed beneficial rainfall to the area is certainly welcome, but hopefully without much severe weather.
