HARRINGTON — Delaware State Police announced Friday they had arrested a 33-year-old Harrington man, who is a former Delaware and Maryland police officer, on a felony rape charge following a sexual-assault investigation.In May 2025, Delaware State Police Troop 3 Criminal Investigations Unit began investigating a sexual-assault allegation against William Paskey. According to detectives, Mr. Paskey met the female victim on a dating app in September 2022 and invited her to his residence in Felton. The victim reported that during the date, Mr. Paskey allegedly became aggressive and engaged in nonconsensual sexual acts with her, refusing her multiple requests to stop. Mr. Paskey was employed as a law-enforcement officer at the time of the incident, but was not on duty, state police said.After consulting with the Delaware Department of Justice, state police obtained a warrant for Mr. Paskey’s arrest and took him into custody May 5 without incident. Mr. Paskey was taken to Troop 3, where he was charged with second-degree rape.
