The Montgomery County community is rallying to support the family of 14-year-old Jossedan Sorto Rivera, an 8th grade student at A. Mario Loiederman Middle School who died following a serious crash earlier this month in Frederick County.
According to Frederick County Fire and Rescue, crews were dispatched at approximately 4:51pm on May 2 to a crash involving entrapment and ejection on eastbound I-70 near mile marker 39 in the Myersville area.
Responding crews located one occupant who had been ejected from the vehicle, another trapped inside, and a third person injured. Due to the severity of the injuries, Trooper 3 and Trooper 5 were requested to transport two patients with life-threatening injuries to trauma centers, while a third occupant was transported by ground to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
