MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Lelia True, candidate for Montgomery County Council At-Large, was notified that one of her campaign signs was vandalized.
True’s campaign says the sign that was vandalized sits at 12830 New Hampshire Ave in Silver Spring. The picture provided to WUSA9 shows a separate piece of wood placed over the original sign, rather than paint applied directly to it. The red “MP 28” is spray-painted on that board, which is mounted in front of the “TRUE” portion of the sign.
According to a press release, True says she wishes the people who took the “time and energy to alter a campaign sign would devote the same effort to help neighbors in Montgomery County, where she’s running for an At-Large seat on the County Council.”…
