ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — In Buncombe County court Monday, the state requested to conduct its own mental health evaluation of a man who made headlines earlier this year when he was accused of attacking a runner in the Bent Creek Experimental Forest.
Dillon Curtis, 29, was arrested on suspicion of assault on a female, false imprisonment, interfering with emergency communication and communicating threats. He was later also charged with second-degree kidnapping.
Curtis, whose first court appearance was in May, was not present in the courtroom Monday morning, July 27. He remains in custody…
