ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A man who is accused of breaking into a liquor store and stealing bottles of alcohol on at least eight occasions was being held on $50,000 bond after allegedly resisting arrest and injuring an Asheville police officer, authorities said Monday.
Police were called to 151 Short Coxe Ave. July 24 for a report that a man believed to have broken into the business seven times before was in “an adjoining property,” according to a statement from Rick Rice, a spokesman for the Asheville Police Department.
Nicholas Jones Crowder, 35, was arrested and charged with eight felony counts of breaking and entering, as well as eight felony counts of larceny for the stolen liquor bottles, as well as felony assault on a government official inflicting injury…
