SWANNANOA, N.C. (WLOS) — Construction is moving forward on Buncombe County’s first standalone Emergency Medical Services station, a project county leaders say will help improve emergency response times and meet growing demand for services in eastern Buncombe County.
The more than 12,000-square-foot facility is under construction in front of Owen Pool on Old U.S. Highway 70 in Swannanoa as part of Buncombe County’s continued investment in public safety.
