ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Nearly two years after Helene devastated western North Carolina, the Cathedral of All Souls in Asheville’s Biltmore Village remains a powerful reminder of both the storm’s destruction and the community’s determination to rebuild.
The historic church was inundated when Helene struck the region on Sept. 27, 2024. Floodwaters pushed through the church’s doors and rose from the basement into the nave, damaging much of the building.
