MADISON COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — A late-night officer-involved shooting on Sept. 3 sent one person to the hospital, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Buddy Harwood told News 13 that the incident happened at 9:41 p.m.
“Madison County Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted warrant service at 1934 Sandy Mush Road in Marshall. The suspect was wanted for post release felony federal parole violation and had an outstanding warrant for felony flee to elude,” Harwood said. “While attempting apprehension the suspect was shot. Deputies rendered first aid, and the suspect was transported to Mission hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.”…
