ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) – Starting Sunday Sept. 13, the North Carolina Department of Transportation will close Hill Street as part of construction on the Interstate 26 Connector project.
While the connecting road improves, drivers from the Hillcrest and Montford neighborhoods should use Clingman Avenue or Broadway Street to access Riverside Drive, depending on their destination and direction of travel.
Standard closure and detour signs will be posted in the area to help guide drivers through at least the end of 2027…
