ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — PVC pipe manufacturer IPEX, which had been criticized for not cleaning up pipe debris in the French Broad River following Helene, announced an investment on Sept. 16 in the cleanup process.
According to the news release from IPEX, the company is making a $500,000 commitment to local conservation nonprofit MountainTrue to support the continued recovery of debris from the French Broad River following Helene. The release said the commitment builds on the company’s more than $100 million investment to rebuild its Woodfin facility and support the company’s recovery.
