ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A new music program in Asheville is giving young musicians more opportunities to move from lessons to live stages, and for some, performances across the country.
School of Rock Asheville pairs music lessons with band rehearsals and live shows, including opportunities to perform at local venues such as The Orange Peel.
“And from there, you can audition for the All Stars, which is a School of Rock kind of nationwide program,” owner Jeff Hayes said. “Once you get into All Stars, then you can go on tours for like two weeks and play at some of the best venues in North America, like Red Rocks, like Lollapalooza.”…
