WASHINGTON – Yesterday, three men admitted to their involvement in the violent events of January 6, 2021, when a mob breached the U.S. Capitol, disrupting a Congressional session intended to certify the 2020 presidential election results. Kyle Kumer, William “Jessie” Stover, and Alan Michael St. Onge each entered guilty pleas to felony charges related to their aggressive actions against law enforcement officers defending the Capitol.
Kumer, 43, from Kansas City, Missouri, and Stover, 46, from Elizabethtown, Kentucky, pleaded guilty to one count of civil disorder. St. Onge, 36, from Brevard, North Carolina, faced two counts of the same charge. Their sentencing is scheduled for May 2024, with U.S. District Court Judge Carl J. Nichols presiding over the hearings.
Court documents reveal that on the afternoon of January 6, these men were among the crowd that attacked police officers at the Lower West Terrace tunnel entrance to the Capitol. This location witnessed some of the day’s most violent clashes, where officers were assaulted with objects, chemical irritants, and physical force in efforts to breach the Capitol.
