ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ala. ( WIAT ) — A woman was killed when the car she was driving hit a tree outside Asheville Monday.

Angela Palmer, 50, of Gadsden, was killed when the Toyota Tacoma she was driving left the roadway on U.S. 231 near Hoffman Lane, overturned, struck a tree and caught fire around 5 a.m. Monday, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Nothing else is available as ALEA continues to investigate.
