With construction continuing for the Seventh Avenue Streetscape project, businesses where the Seventh Avenue will be closed are joining together to hold a market on Saturdays at the Historic Depot Plaza at 650 Maple St.
The market, which starts Feb. 10, has been named the Saturday Hard Hat Popup Market, according to a news release from the city of Hendersonville. It will be held every Saturday from 9 a.m.-noon throughout the street’s closure, which is expected to last until May, the release said.
Businesses on Seventh Avenue are remaining open through the street’s closure, and most of them have adjusted their hours.
Additional updates on business hours and events can be found on the business’s individual websites and social media. Below is a list of the businesses affected.
According to past Times-News reporting, the Streetscape Project is an investment in pedestrian, water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure, lighting and landscaping in the business district. It aims to improve walkability, improve connections to the Main Street Municipal Service District and highlight the character of the historic district.
