GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Heavy rain returns for Monday, with the potential for severe storms. Rain returns tonight between 9:00 PM and midnight, possibly accompanied by a few rumbles of thunder. A weakening stationary front settling over the region will help to pump moisture northward out of the Gulf of Mexico, leading to heavier and more persistent rain throughout the night. Temperatures will remain mild, with lows only falling to the low and mid 50s once again. A Flood Watch has been issued until midnight Monday for the majority of our area, excluding Buncombe County and areas north and east.
