Deputies search for 3 masked men following shooting in Buncombe Co.

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) – A person was shot and police are searching for three men following a breaking and entering incident in Buncombe County.

According to the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Lifting Fog Drive in Leicester just after noon Friday following reports of a breaking and entering by three masked men.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they found one person suffering from gunshot wounds. The individual was transported to Mission Hospital.

Reports stated that three firearms and narcotics were recovered from the home.

Jonathan Tanner Boyd, 20, who lives in the residence, has been charged with felony possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

The sheriff’s office has identified multiple persons of interest.
