Man’s guilty plea leads to at least 7 years behind bars, sentenced as a habitual felon

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) – A man who was facing drug-related charges will spend between seven to nine years behind bars after a guilty plea. A tweet from the Buncombe County District Attorney’s Office on Feb. 6, 2024 said Ronald Lee Peak pleaded guilty that day to two counts of trafficking in meth/opium/heroin and was sentenced as an habitual felon.
