Following a hot summer in Asheville , the upcoming week of Aug. 19 with temperatures below 84 degrees every day feels positively autumnal. If you’re feeling up for some early fall festivities, you’ll be happy to know that Starbucks seems to be on the same page.
While temperatures in the low 80s aren’t exactly sweater weather, it looks like the Starbucks fall menu isn’t far away. Though there’s no official date yet, the yearly return of the iconic Pumpkin Spice Latte or “PSL” has 20 years of trends to base estimates around – and those trends suggest it’s coming soon .

What day does the Pumpkin Spice Latte come out in 2024?
USA TODAY reported several years of trends for PSL release dates. Last year, the fall favorite beverage returned Thursday, Aug. 24. In the past six years, Aug. 30 was the latest date for the PSL’s return to the menu.
The release dates reported include:

- 2022: Tuesday, Aug. 30
- 2021: Tuesday, Aug. 24
- 2020: Tuesday, Aug. 25
- 2019: Tuesday, Aug. 27
- 2018: Tuesday, Aug. 28
