The Citizen Times and Times-News girls athlete of the week, Week 4

Layla Wright, Asheville Christian Academy: Wright recorded 16 assists and five service aces in a 3-0 win over Carolina Day on Friday. Her 33 assists helped the Lions to victory on Tuesday, as they beat Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Ga.) in five sets.

Joscelyn Stamper, Cherokee: Stamper tallied 25 kills on a .327 hitting percentage and added four blocks, two aces and 11 digs. The Braves defeated Swain County 3-1.

Ryan Green, Franklin: Green had 11 kills on .476 hitting percentage, two blocks and three digs in Franklin’s 3-0 win over Murphy.

Hannah Buchanan, Mountain Heritage: Buchanan recorded 24 assists and 10 digs in a 3-0 win over Mitchell.

Mia Bradley, Polk County: On Tuesday, Bradley recorded 13 kills, four aces, five blocks and six digs in Polk County’s 3-0 win over Chase. On Wednesday, Bradley recorded 12 kills, two aces and 13 digs to lead the Wolverines to a three-set win over Reynolds, and she wrapped up the week with 16 digs, 14 kills, two aces and a block, Bradley lifted the Wolverines to a 3-0 win Thursday over East Rutherford.
