Democratic vice presidential nominee and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is set to speak in Asheville today , Tuesday, Sept. 17.

As of Monday, the website showed the event as at capacity. A sign-up section has returned to the site, but the page reminds hopeful attendees that, while RSVP is required for the event, it does not guarantee admission.

When will Tim Walz speak in Asheville?

Doors will open for the event at 3 p.m. However, Walz is set to arrive in Asheville at 4:30 p.m. after earlier appearances in Macon and Atlanta, Georgia. This means he is unlikely to speak before 5 p.m. or even later.

Road closures are expected for Sept. 17 along I-26, from the Asheville Regional Airport to the venue and back. Samantha Booth, representative for the Asheville Police Department, told the Citizen Times that exact timing for the “rolling closures” will only be confirmed shortly before they occur.
