The 10Best orchards were chosen by USA TODAY reader votes from a number of options providing pick-your-own fruit options or pre-picked apples selected by an expert panel. With more than 25,000 to choose from producing over 255 million bushels a year, one orchard near Hendersonville stood out to voters.

Sky Top Orchard voted No. 4 in the US
10Best praised Sky Top Orchard for providing a “nostalgic fall” experience in the mountains. Writers also mentioned the orchard’s over 22 varieties of apples, with a u-pick season lasting from July through the end of October.
