Black Mountain man convicted of animal cruelty

BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. (WLOS) – A Black Mountain man has pled guilty and was convicted of Animal Cruelty on Thursday, Sept. 12. On Nov. 20, 2023, theBuncombe County Sheriff’s Office Animal Crimes Unit responded to a call at 141 Cragmont Road in Black Mountain, N.C. where responding officers found the decomposing remains of two Caine Corses, who appeared to be “abandoned and starved to death,” according to a release from the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO).
