Gov. Cooper, FEMA administrator to visit storm damaged WNC

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) – Governor Roy Cooper will visit western North Carolina Monday to assess storm damage and relief operations.

Cooper will be joined by FEMA administrator Deanne Criswell, United States Northern Command and NORAD commander General Gregory Guillot and National Guard Brigadier General Charles Morrison as they stop in Chimney Rock and Lake Lure.

As part of the visit, Cooper will meet with people impacted by the storm and thank volunteers.

The group will stop at the Chimney Rock Fire Department and The 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa during the visit.
