Charlotte McDonald’s owners serve meals to Asheville residents impacted by Helene

ASHEVILLE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A local McDonald’s franchise spent a week in Asheville, serving meals to people impacted by Helene.

The owners-operators of a McDonald’s in Charlotte took a large semi-truck, called the McRig, and packed it with meals and crew members volunteering to serve those in need.

The owners-operators who provided relief include Joe Ahumada, Mashoor Awad, Ron Bailey Jr., Ann Fox Baum, Bud Kuthan, Marty Ranft, Josh Ranft, Jason Saylor, Adrian Smith and Joe Zarek.

Over the week, they served tens of thousands of free meals.
