No more room: Outpouring of donations hits capacity in Buncombe County after Helene

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A remarkable showing of support for those impacted by Hurricane Helene in Buncombe County has not only filled hearts and stomachs, but also all of the county’s storage space.

In an update posted to X on Wednesday, Buncombe County said, “We’ve run out of room to store it all!” Local government officials also thanked everyone who had contributed to the massive showing of donations from clothes to water and food.

Anyone in need of food and water can stop by any of the distribution sites at following locations in Buncombe County. Anyone who can is asked to bring their own containers.
