benefit show, which ended up

raising over $24.5 million

(and counting) for residents in western North Carolina that were devastated by historic flooding from Hurricane Helene. So far, the death toll sits at 98 people and counting, and has caused over $53 billion in damages. To say the devastation is unimaginable would be a massive understatement. Of course, both Eric and Luke have very personal ties to the area, as Luke grew up in Asheville from the time he was eight years old. Eric grew up in Granite Falls, which sits in the foothills of the mountains, and both are Appalachian State University alumni. During a press conference before the show, they

with local reporters about the event, as well as how important it is for them to be part of helping with the recovery, and Luke told everyone that he remembers asking his parents why they were moving from Huntersville to Asheville, and they told him it’s because it was so safe there, in terms of weather and otherwise:
