God’s Pit Crew continues storm relief efforts after Hurricane Helene

DANVILLE, Va. ( WFXR ) – God’s Pit Crew has been very active in its disaster relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

Many areas were impacted by the widespread storm damage with some communities left unprepared such as towns in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia, also including communities in Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina.

The crew assessed damage in the small town of Old Fort, North Carolina finding a six-inch layer of mud in a residence in every room.

Pearl’s Home Encased in Mud

The home was filled with dangerous floodwater. When the water cleared, mud was left inside. The homeowner Pearl and her daughter had to save what they could, and God’s Pit Crew helped clean the home. A few days after the storm, Pearl’s husband passed away.
