Hendersonville to Slash Local Food Tax Rate, Easing Financial Pressure on Shoppers

In a move that is poised to place more dollars back into the pockets of Hendersonville residents, the City of Hendersonville has officially announced a reduction in the local sales tax rate on food and food ingredients. This change, which will go into effect at the beginning of February 2025, sees the local sales tax rate in Hendersonville drop to 2.25%. The announcement was made via an official notice published by the Tennessee Department of Revenue on December 20th.
